Y2T or Tekkies are born from the feeling of longing for the old internet.They're digital creatures that can live inside an old PC, a cassette player, an USB, an old cellphone, etc. As long as it's old tech made in the 2000s they'll call it a home. They don't speak any known language but are able to communicate between them with electronic synthetic sounds and beeps.

FERAL FORM

Tekkies can shapeshift if needed into a more feral physical appearance. This is also known as Battery Save Mode since it helps with battery draining. A Tekkie in feral mode will behave like a house pet.

CORD TAILS

Tekkies have long cord tails, some of them are in the shape of power cords, some have more than one tail and some have experimental or abstract tails. Their cord tail helps to recharge a Tekkie's battery life.

DIGITAL PAWPRINTS

Tekkies pawprints are used as a way to communicate and exchange information with other Tekkies. When two Tekkie's pawprints touch and align they will copy and transfer memory data into the other. Being able to see each others memories. For Tekkies with deeper bonds they can further the connection stability to experience sensations, emotions and more. The full extent of possibilities is still under current investigation.

PAWPRINT LINKING

As the research on Tekkies moves forward we have found evidence that a type of clonation closely resembling to digital copying is an extremely rare practice.After further investigation the Lab has created a Link Cable capable of mirroring the duplication of files within two Tekkies and a Incubator Egg Hologram that changes in appearance depending on the new variable offspring.
