TEKKIES were born from the feelings of longing for a long gone era of the Internet, where webpages used to be fun to navigate and being on the internet felt like an exciting new adventure everyday. Memories from the past made these alien-looking beings have a consciousness and begin their life through the net.
tekkies are agender by default but can decide if they would like one later on. their default pronouns are it/its since they’re inorganic beings made of digital rubber.
They're immortal digital creatures that can live inside an old PC, a cassette player, a CD player, an MP3 player, etc. As long as it is old tech made in the 2000s they will call it a home.

physical traits

tekkies have a variety of appearances: kemonomimis are a common feature seen on most subspecies.
A TAIL THAT IS USUALLY MADE OF GLASS AND RUBBER OR A LONG PLUG CORD that serves as a extension.
TEKKIES BODIES ARE MADE OF DIGITAL RUBBER OR DIGITAL GLASS AND CAN BE TRANSLUCENT, OPAQUE, IRIDISCENT OR GLOW. THEY CAN ALSO HAVE PATTERNS, CIRCUITS AND CUSTOM MOTIFS LIKE STICKERS ON THEIR BODIES.

ALL TEKKIES HAVE AT LEAST ONE PLUG OUTLET ON THEIR BODY, IT CAN BE LOCATED ON THE BACK OR THE FRONT AND HELP THEM CONNECT VARIOUS HARDWARE UNITS AND CABLES TO THEMSELVES, THEY CAN HAVE UP TO SIX PLUG OUTLETS.
THEIR SIZE VARIES DEPENDING IF THEY’RE IN A DIGITAL SPACE OR IF THEY’RE OUTSIDE IN THE REAL WORLD. DIGITAL TEKKIES ARE USUALLY SMALL TO FIT IN YOUR DEVICE.
ALL TEKKIES HAVE ONE SPECIAL MARKING ON THEIR CHEST CALLED THE “OFF/ON” THIS MARKING DOES RESEMBLE A BUTTON BUT IT’S ACTUALLY THE TEKKIE CORE AND WHAT POWERS THEIR BODY. WHEN A TEKKIE SLEEPS THIS BUTTON MOTIF GLOWS FAINTLY.

A rare subspecies of Tekkies that have less animal features only a tail and paws. musikins have a bright color palette, usually wearing headphones with loud music. Designs can have volume bars and decibel modulators.
